About the station

We’re independent, run entirely by volunteers – and we are local, broadcasting from our studio in Wivenhoe. We want to give local communities and organisations an opportunity to be heard. We do this by raising the profile of local charities organisations, plus promoting the activities of local businesses and publicising local events that reflect the communities we serve. Colne Radio broadcasts along the Colne Estuary and surrounding villages. You can also listen online. We currently broadcast on the internet. But once all the checks, legalities and formalities have been completed, we will be broadcasting on an FM waveband to communities along the River Colne.
