Radio Erft

About the station

Radio Erft broadcasts 8 hours of local programming daily. This includes the morning show “Radio Erft am Morgen,” which airs between 6 and 10 AM, and the afternoon program “Radio Erft am Nachmittag,” which airs between 2 and 6 PM. On Saturdays, Radio Erft broadcasts local programming between 8 AM and 1 PM and between 6 and 9 PM, and on Sundays between 9 AM and 2 PM (all times valid as of March 2017). The Saturday evening show features new music releases and other songs that are not usually part of the regular programming. Additionally, Radio Erft allows citizen broadcasting on its frequencies in accordance with legal regulations. This can be heard on Fridays and Sundays from 7 to 8 PM (Saturdays from 8 to 9 PM). The rest of the programming and the top-of-the-hour news are provided by the main program provider Radio NRW. In return, Radio Erft broadcasts an advertising block from Radio NRW every hour. Between 6:30 AM and 6:30 PM (Saturdays from 7:30 to 11:30 AM and Sundays from 9:30 to 11:30 AM), the local radio station broadcasts three- to five-minute local news every half hour. Additionally, during local programming on Radio Erft, local weather and traffic updates are broadcast every half hour and on the hour.
