Klassik Radio primarily offers a music program supplemented by half-hourly news as well as updates on business, stock markets, media, and culture. The music program is suitable both as a daily background soundtrack and for intentional listening. It mainly consists of classical music pieces, film music, and New Classics. Complete classical works are not played; instead, selected movements that are immediately accessible are featured. In the late evening, from 10:00 PM until around 2018, the program shifted to lounge music, such as Nu Jazz, Downbeat, Chillout, Ambient, World music, etc. The program was curated by DJ Nartak, the production team Levitation, Lichtmond, and Schiller. Since mid-2018, only the segment “Classic dreams” has been broadcast from 10:00 PM, featuring nonstop calmer tracks.
