WDR 2 is a news and information station that can be classified under the Adult Contemporary genre. The program is designed for all-day listening, but – especially in the evening – also offers content that encourages intentional tuning in. The current slogan is „Wir sind der Westen.“ Alternatively, „Infos, die ich brauche“ is also used.
