Radio Bonn/Rhein-Sieg has been broadcasting since January 2, 2017, with a fourteen-hour local program from Monday to Friday, consisting of the shows "Am Morgen" from 6 to 10 AM, "Bei der Arbeit" from 10 AM to 3 PM, and "Ab in den Feierabend" from 3 to 8 PM. On Saturdays, local programming is broadcast from 8 AM to 1 PM, and on Sundays from 9 AM to 12 PM. Additionally, Radio Bonn/Rhein-Sieg airs special programs during Carnival, Rhein in Flammen, and the Bonn Marathon.Outside its own broadcasting hours, programs from the network provider Radio NRW are aired. However, world news on the hour is also provided by Radio NRW during the station's own local broadcasts.From 5:30 AM to 7:30 PM (starting at 7:30 AM on Saturdays and 9:30 AM on Sundays, then continuously until 5:30 PM), the local radio station broadcasts local news from its own studio every half hour. The 5:30 AM news broadcast, as well as those from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM on weekdays, are approximately two to three minutes long and include, in addition to global headlines, "the most important news from the Radio-Bonn/Rhein-Sieg-Land in 60 seconds" and local traffic updates. The remaining half-hourly news broadcasts provide detailed local reports, each about three minutes long. This is followed by local weather and traffic services.
